I'm still here, and I apologize for not posting more frequently. I've been meaning to post some pictures of the monstrous turkey my wife roasted last weekend (33 pounds). I've also finished my second paper for the semester and am preparing for my final. When I read about Adoro's workload, I feel a little guilty.
The latest class has been very interesting, and I think I've finally decided that my focus should be on sacred scripture. The approoach for the course has been unusual (compared to most scripture studies I've seen), but it blends well with my background in literature and linguistics.
If you haven't read the latest encyclical, do so. NOW. It's very good. I'm still chewing on it mentally and will probably need to read it again.
God bless!

Have you ever done a synthetic scripture study as part of your classes? It's AMAZING! (If you need an example I can send you mine...I got a good grade but fell out of the "high" category only due to stupid technical errors.)
Anyway, my workload isn't so bad...just the 8 page Spirituality and 6 page Synthetic essay, which I'm just about ready to write. And yeah, I'm panicking but I can get an extension on the spirituality paper if necessary. That prof is merciful and I've never been late before this. ( I got nothing done on it over the weekend although I tried mightily. Too distracted).
Anyway...do you just have one class? Or more?
About the turkey...that's a HUGE bird!
About the encyc....what you said. It's incredible, and I"m going to quote it in my Spirituality paper for the brownie points it will garner. Which I need. (Only an 87 on my last one, I'm not proud to say, and so I need to make up lost ground via our wonderful Papa...and his works were not assigned for this course...)
OK, I'm rambling. Sorry, little fried.
