Faithful Catholic or modern-day pharisee? Sometimes I might be a bit of both.

Tolerance and Catholic Public Life
Archbishop Chaput has an excellent essay in First Things today on the need for Catholics to espouse their faith publicly and heroically. I'm trying more and more to live up to this ideal, but I have a long way to go.
You might want to go back and read more about the archbishop. I know he's said oneor two things that have gotten your dander up in the past, but the majority of the time he's spot on.

Archbishop Kaput said that?
Irony alert.

Well, it was the incident of the Governor of Colorado having an "inaugral mass" in Holy Ghost Church in Denver that frosted my cookies.
First we were told "no way."
Then a sex-abuse settlement was announed.
Then the mass went ahead.
No connection.
